Your energy is contagious

Recently I've had to dig deep in my bag of empathy to maintain feelings of goodness for another imperfect being. Its not often that I have to do this, but it is good that it happens from time to time.

As much as I want to believe that there is good in everyone, along comes someone who tests me on that. Then I have to assess, what is it about this being that is triggering me? What unresolved circumstance do I have that is causing me to feel negativity towards this person?

It's never really about the other person. It is always about ourselves and doing the work to understand our emotions.  It has occurred to me that my grasp on how our energy affects others (good and bad) is not understood by this other being and therefore they lack empathy. It is this realization that allows ME to have the empathy, and grace is able to happen.

All of us have "stuff" that needs resolution. To not give it the attention it deserves, we force others to "deal" with it. This unwillingness to face our truths is what causes negative energy to fester. When you start adding up this negative energy, you get a lot of "inkiness" in the world that is easily resolved with accountability. 

Own your issues. Work on them. Be the energy that you'd like to receive from others. <3
