You have a choice

Any choice you make is for you to own regardless of how you came to be in that moment. There is no one to blame or give accolades to except yourself. That is where it starts and stops.

We believe that things outside of our self has something to do with our life's path and therefore we can somehow "blame" what is no longer there. 

For example: You hear gossip from someone. You choose to take that gossip and share it with another person. It turns out that you are then confronted by the person you are gossiping about. You try and blame the gossip on whom you heard it from but they are no longer "there" and you have to own your part. You made a choice.

For example: You hear gossip from someone. You let the person sharing the gossip know that you are not interested in their negativity. In fact, you let the person know how you feel about people who gossip. It turns out that the person's integrity that you saved hears about your honesty and offers you a six digit salary to come and work for them in their Fortune 500 company. You made a choice. 

When you do good, you get good. When you do bad, you get bad. Doing anything with pure intentions allows the universe's energy to match your energy. Doing anything with impure intentions allows the universe's energy to match your energy. You will always reap what you sow.
