Wisdom is earned

Getting older doesn't necessarily mean that you get to be wiser. Wisdom is shared with those who want it. It is given to those who have a thirst for understanding the unknown.

I could sit all day at the feet of an elder and listen to the wisdom that they have willingly learned. Accepting life and all of its trials and triumphs is much easier when you understand why each must take place.

No book or internet site will match the energy shared by an elder when they are teaching. Being able to feel their emotions as they impart their knowledge is what they are teaching. The words they share are what hold us close to them as they teach us how to love.

To be able to love oneself is the pinnacle for having the ability to share wisdom. Being able to love one's self becomes the vessel from which wisdom flows. <3
