Wisdom

The trade off for losing our youthfulness is that we gain wisdom. Comparing my 25 year old self to my 55 year old self, I'll take the wisdom over the youthfulness any day. It's an earned privilege to be wise. 

There is something invigorating about having the secret of wisdom. To be able to see yourself in others and smile knowing that you have "been there, done that". Everyone has to learn and grow. How one reacts to this right of passage will determine their peace as they age.

I love to sit with elders and listen to their stories that always have a lesson woven into them. I look forward to the day when I can be honored in such a way. 

Aging is inevitable. Nothing can stop it from happening. Embrace the gift of wisdom that comes with being an elder. Share the wisdom and enjoy the peace that comes with doing so. <3
