Thank you...two simple words that hold a lot of meaning. We say them often to others, but how often to we say them to our self or to the higher power we believe in? I'm fairly certain we don't do it as often as we should.
The reasons for this can be many, but I think the number one reason is that we aren't thankful for things that we think bring us harm. We get disgruntled with our self and our higher power when we think that either or has disappointed us. Not much to be thankful for in those moments. What we fail to understand is that by not being thankful for simply being alive we will continue to bring more harm and disappointment into our life. And so goes the revolving door of harm and disappointment. How to exit this revolving door is seemingly impossible so we sigh and put up with the "stuff" that we think we cannot control. The thing is, you do have a measure of control. A lot of control actually. Everything you are experiencing exists for you because you keep it there...good, bad, or indifferent. The second that you realize that your thoughts are the only thing holding you back, life takes on a whole new meaning. Your life will evolve, and thanking yourself and your higher power becomes an every moment occurrence. Trust me on this. <3
