Shush ego!

Trying to control what we cannot control is the culprit that keeps peace from finding us. When we put our wishes out to God, Creator, Universe, Source, we have to be willing to accept the outcome.

The hurt feelings that come with the letdown when one's expectations aren't fulfilled can bring feelings of hopelessness. Many questions of "why" arise with few answers for them.

For me, I bring it around to one thing...is my ego disappointed? If I'm honest with myself and admit that my ego is offended about something, it becomes easier to move forward. I am the watcher of my ego and can therefore determine its influence in my life.

I try to do all things in life with pure intentions. This means that I have to leave the ego out of my decision making because the ego only thinks of itself and not all the other variables that need considering.

Usually, the outcome without the ego's input is the right thing and we tend to find peace with it. <3
