Nothingness

Nothingness: the absence or cessation of life or existence; worthlessness; insignificance; unimportance.

You have an ego that brings chaos into your life and you have a soul which brings peace. Your ego controls your mind and your soul is all of you. Your ego roars thoughts while your soul whispers thoughts. We listen to the ego first because it drowns out the soul. It is easy to listen to the ego, but it is a real challenge to hear the whispering of the soul. 

Ego: envy, jealousy, self-importance, insecure, boisterous, apathetic, narcissistic
​Soul: generous, joyful, self-satisfaction, confident, calm, empathetic, echoist

The attributes of the ego are what has been taught to you by other egos. The attributes of the soul are there from birth and everyone has them. The ego views the soul's attributes as weaknesses and does everything it can to shut them down. The ego knows that if a soul is heard it will become the dominate "noise" in a human's mind. 

It takes work to silence the ego in order to hear the soul. You have to remove the nothingness to allow space for being. Not a human being, but just being. <3
