No pain, no gain

You've heard the saying "no pain, no gain". This is a great motivator for when you are striving to achieve a goal, but not so great when you have pain in the heart, mind, and soul.

The pain felt in these three places isn't easily healed after a few days of rest. This kind of pain takes a courage that is far different than the courage needed to win a marathon, pass a test, find true love, or to be a successful author. 

It is not easy to own pain that you caused yourself or that someone else caused you. The reason for this is the stigma that is associated with the pain. We've been taught that we are deserving of pain and with that comes a certain amount of shame. 

Spoiler alert...we are not meant to carry any kind of negative feelings...owned or unowned. We are to here to learn and are not to be punished for our imperfections. We are to be taught until we understand. This cannot be achieved by inflicting unnecessary pain onto each other.

Release your pain. Replace it with love for yourself. Refuse to accept any further pain. Now, go ahead and live the life of peace that you deserve. <3
