New Beginnings

It is absolutely amazing what a year can bring. Today it is one year since I became self-employed.

In that time I've published a book and proceeded with firmly establishing RJ Streetz Foundation Inc. as a viable non profit. Neither of these things would have been possible had I continued in my role as an Executive Director for another non profit. 

Combined with my passion for the book and the Foundation is an insatiable need for me to (re)discover myself after 40 years of career building as an administration professional for others. I've gained so much "stuff" along the way, but I didn't always nurture my soul as tenderly as I should have. That's a regret.

When we are young we are taught that it is extremely important to "impress" others with the many masks we wear. Unfortunately, we are not taught as vigorously that it is our soul that we must impress the most in this life. To not do this will leave you feeling unfulfilled. 

If you don't like how something makes you feel, you have the power at any time to leave it behind and find what does make you feel good about who you are as a person. Use your very valuable time on this earth to do what makes you feel good. Anything less than that will only bring regret. Don't wait for regret. Go ahead and do what makes you feel good now. <3
