Life is like a video game.

This is me at 36 years of age. 

I look happy, but I wasn't. What you are seeing is what we have to do when we head out the door each day regardless of what is happening in our life. Put on the happy face and make others think that you have it all together. Meanwhile you are struggling in silence with a deep longing to be "okay" with yourself. 

I've come to understand that this longing is for you to find your soul. The loneliness you feel isn't for another imperfect being to be in your life, it is for you to find a depth of yourself that only you can know. It's from that place that your soul beckons you every moment of everyday. 

Yes, we all have a soul. Yes, some will acknowledge that as true. Yes, some will deny that there is such a thing. For me, I believe we each have a soul and I tell you why in my book "The Sun Neither Rises nor Sets". 

Nothing, and I mean nothing, that goes on in everyone's day from moment to moment is by chance. 

How is it possible that the control of one's life is elsewhere? I like to explain it like this. When you play a video game and get to control your outcome, what you are feeling in that moment is the essence of one granule of sand that is needed to make up an entire beach. 

We are the granules of sand on God's beach. Only He knows what role we each must have in order to make a beach exist. The waves are our chances and opportunities given every moment of every day to discover our soul. You win God's video game of life when you discover your soul. 

Your understanding of the video game isn't about how the game was developed, your understanding of the game is that it will automatically give and take from you based on your decisions. That's how God works in your life every moment of every day. 

His power cannot be understood by the human mind. We are not evolved enough to know. It would make us fearful to have access to what it takes for each day to happen. Your role is to find your soul. When you find your soul you will be given a glimpse of divinity which you will never want to lose. It will become important to you to help others find their soul. You will come to understand that doing that is all of our purpose in life.
