"You're an odd duck". By whose standards?

Is it a compliment or an insult when someone suggests that you are: outside the norm; a rebel; an oddity? I take it as a compliment, because I don't want to be like everyone else. I want to be me. I want to just be.

Being yourself isn't revered in a world where conformity is trained into you from the day you are born by someone who had it done to them and so on and so on.

Our souls aren't meant to be like caged birds for the delight of the egos that know how not to be caged. Our souls are meant to feel freedom; not shackled to egos that were formed from centuries of imperfect training.

If as much time was given to furnishing the soul as is given to feeding the ego, we'd be living in a very different time. The fascinating thing is that we have the ability to flip the switch from me, me, me to us, us us anytime we want. 

When you come to understand yourself / your soul, it is inevitable that you will find out the truth about why you are here. <3
