Just Be

"Suck it up". "Grow up". "Get over it". How often were these words said to you while growing up? Enough that you learned how to tamp down emotions to make someone else feel better?

Adults are a messed up group of humans. Everyone has some sort of dysfunction passed along to them by someone who was also learning. That's not to say that you have to be okay with that person, it just means that you need to recognize that they are imperfect, just like you.

We have to feel the negatives in life in order to appreciate the positives. The negatives are taught to by us by others. The positives are taught to us by others. How to live your life with these two energies is decided by you.

Facing the pros and cons of making a decision can be difficult to do. Many decision are made without determining the pros and cons. These decisions usually end up impacting our lives in an unwanted way because we didn't discern on the accountability we'd need to own. 

How do I know if I've made the right decision? I feel peace because I know I'm not trying to control an outcome that isn't mine to control. There is a certain amount of sadness that comes with that. And that is okay. <3
