Have YOUR conversation with God.

In 2007 while at a workshop I painted this picture when we were asked to share something that impacted our life. 

This is me at six years old having a conversation with God. I'm outside the church from which I received my first bible at that age. I use the words calmness, peace, presence, warmth, no visual, and voice when trying to describe this experience. 

What I have come to understand is that it was my soul talking to me. We all have a soul. It was given to each of us by God. For you to be able to hear your soul is to hear God. To hear God means you can converse with God. We all have the ability to have conversations with God. 

***Insert whatever word you use for "God" where I use that term. We are not wrong in what we believe ( your word here ) is, because we all believe that God is good and wants the same for all of us.***

As my life evolved after that first conversation I never doubted that God existed. Where I struggled, where we all struggle, is how we are supposed to have a relationship with God. We've been taught that God is way out there somewhere beyond our reach. That is not true. 

God is with you every second of every day. Your soul is God. When you recognize that to be the truth, nothing will stop you from listening to your soul for guidance. Call it intuition, call it sixth sense, call it what you want, but know that it is God giving you guidance when you listen for it. For this to happen you need faith, trust, honesty, sincerity, gratitude, and to be selfless. 

Choosing to take or reject the guidance is up to you. But ask yourself this, how is that working out for you with what you do take or reject? <3
