Happiness = Inside Job

You get to choose how you feel in any given moment. No one gets to choose that for you. How you react to someone else is totally on you, not on them. 

If someone is invoking good or bad feelings in you, those feelings belong to you, not to them. You are choosing to feel that way regardless of the other person's actions.

An elder taught me an important life lesson and its actually the topic of chapter thirty-five in my book. She said, "Pay it no mind".  Don't give attention to something that has no relevance to you. If someone chooses a negative behaviour, pay it no mind. If someone says a hurtful thing to you, pay it no mind. Her teaching is that your mind should be on how YOU are living your life and less about how others are living theirs. Set your boundaries and then go ahead and live your life in a good way.

It's then that you will find the happiness you seek. <3
