Fear is made up

I received a copy of "As A Man Thinketh" when I was too young to understand its contents. The first time I read it I had some aha moments. Every now and then I'd get the urge to read it and each time I found nuggets of inspiration.

Today when I read it I do so for affirmation. It is comforting to know that a book written in 1903 holds the truth for any generation that has ever, or will ever, live.

It isn't lost on me that while there are many who think like me, there are many who don't. I marvel at the question as to why that is. I think the answer to that question is fear.

Fear of the unknown holds people back from understanding the purpose of humanity. The unknown is what a being conjures up in their mind. That is where it all begins and ends.

From As A Man Thinketh by James Allen (1903): "Of all the beautiful truths pertaining to the soul which have been restored and brought to the light in this age, none is more gladdening or fruitful of divine promise and confidence than this - that man is the master of thought, the moulder of character, and the maker and shaper of condition, environment, and destiny.
As a being of power, intelligence, and love, and the lord of his own thoughts, man holds the key to every situation, and contains with himself that transforming and regenerative agency by which he may make himself what he wills." <3
