Brouhaha

Two things:
1. We are taught that to be idle implies laziness.
2. Busyness is a way to avoid truth.

I've been that 10 hour employee working unpaid weekends. I've been the one volunteering for everything.
I've been the one with a kid doing every team and activity.

It was important that people saw me doing all the right things. Then it occurred to me, "who are these people and why should I give a damn what they think?"

That was a liberating moment. 

Then it became about me. Who am I and what do I think about me? To be honest, I wasn't liking me very much. I felt like I was living someone else's life and ignoring the real me. 

Truth really does set you free. You cannot stop the journey towards truth after taking the first step. Inevitably you will change your mind about pleasing others to your own detriment. It will become very important for you to find the peace that we all crave and can have if we choose to have it. 

Truth: They don't matter. They don't exist, except in your mind. <3
