Wisdom

The trade off for aging is that you gain a whole pile of wisdom. I've often wondered why we aren't wise when we are young. Why do we have to wait so long to be given the gift of understanding? Now that I'm older and wiser it is clear to me why growing into one's self is so important. 

It truly is something special to uncover all the wisdom you have inside from birth. It is fascinating to me how the wisdom unravels and reveals itself, but only when you have earned it. The way to earning wisdom is through giving up worrying about things that don't really matter. 

Wisdom also comes when you give up control of things that aren't yours to control. Wisdom comes when you trust that something bigger than yourself is working for you, not against you. Wisdom comes when you realize that your choices are yours regardless of how many people you want to blame for them. Wisdom comes when you recognize that peace is better than chaos. Wisdom comes when you accept that you really matter only to yourself. <3
