Storm Free

If you were raised as a Gen Xer you will have experienced unbridled freedom along with unnecessary discipline. Anyone was allowed to discipline kids and if your parents heard about your transgression, you typically got a second round when you got home.

Being sent outside to play for hours brought the freedom to have many adventures without an adult around. This is why there was an unspoken rule that when any adult witnessed wrongdoing they had the ability to correct you.

The flip side to this form of childrearing was the freedom to do whatever you wanted with the hope of not getting caught. 

For this reason most Gen Xers live life in the freedom zone. Uninterested in chaos and more interested in living life without a lot of input from others. They want to live "storm free". <3
