Safe Space

I feel honored when someone uses the word "safe" to describe me or my home. Reflecting on what that means, I've determined that they feel like they can be themselves without judgement. 

Drilling down further, I've come to understand that empathy plays a huge role in having someone feel safe in my company. You've had to walk the walk in order to talk the talk. This means you have to have experienced life and all of its ups and downs. 

As our world continues to change and become a place of realism, phoniness will have a spotlight on it. If you choose to not be authentic, you will be a lonely being. Decide now to be okay with being you, because you are an okay being to be. <3
