Peace

This is from my book "The Sun Neither Rises nor Sets" chapter 36  titled Freedom from Disturbance.

How do we get the peace we seek; how to we stop the mayhem that is going on every week?
How do we end senseless killings that are going on; how do we end abuse that has gone on too long?
How do we stop the neglect done to our children; how do we stop this obsession with gambling?
How do we go about saving our animal friends; how do we bring drinking and driving to an end?
How do we cure diseases that we have seen so far; how do we stop wars and ensure there are no more?
How do we stop technology from turning us into machines; how do we ensure water will stay clean?
How do we fix the doubts surrounding the church; how do we build a plane in which no one gets hurt?
How do we teach that all religions are equal; how do we stop child pornography from having a sequel?
How do we stop the destruction after the big game; how do we help politicians to keep things sane?
How do we get back the self-respect that we have lost; how do we understand that love has no cost?
How do we overcome the distrust we feel; how do we ensure that everyone has a meal?
How do we help others to have a home of their own; how to we re-seed love that no longer grows?
How do we ensure an education is given to everyone; how do we stop just anyone from having a gun?
How do we stop a bully’s abuse; how do we help everyone to understand that they have a use?
How do we stop high, middle, lower class; how do we stop the discriminations we have amassed?
How do we look beyond the colour of one’s skin; how do we instead look at what is within?
How do we stop judging each other’s soul; how do we make loving each other our common goal?
How do we stop valuing our material things; how do we learn that self-worth they will not bring?
How do we go about accepting our time on this earth; how do we deal with all our inner hurts?
How do we understand that you get back what you give; how do we slow down and learn how to live?
How do we learn that peace is within our reach; how do we believe in what God has to teach?
How do we put what we think we know aside; how do we understand that it’s God that will decide?
How do we learn that there is power in prayer; how do we go from down here to up there?
How do we accept that each of us has a soul; how do we have faith in the life at which we toil?
How do we regard souls as we regard our own; how do we build peace that has never been known?
How do we make the changes in the way we think; how do we trust in God and all that He will bring?
How do we stop thinking we have all the answers; how do we start coping with our spiritual cancer?
How do we cure the lack of hope in our life; how do we realize that it is not cut out by God’s knife?
How do we have faith that God is there; how do we know that believing in Him will bring His care?
How do we believe that His salvation is near; how do we trust in His way and live without fear?
How do we understand that it is peace that our soul lacks; how do we accept and start to take it back?
How do we know we are the answer to our prayers; how do we get our step on heaven’s stairs?
How do we begin to see that peace is up to us; how do we have faith that it’s in God we must trust?
How do we own the choices we make; how do we accept that it’s our peace that we fake?
How do we fix what has been broken all along; how do we get back to God where we belong?
How do we get strength for life’s mountains we must climb? It is done by you and your life’s holy rhyme.
