There is only one person you can count on to always be there for you and that person is yourself. No one on this earth can give you what you can give to yourself…unconditional love. Everyone, no matter who it is, has expectations that they want from you to meet a need that they are lacking. 

If you meet those expectations, the bar will raise until you aren’t able to meet more expectations. Then the resentment will set in for you and the one with the needs. We can’t be for someone that which we can’t be for ourselves. 

If you can’t love yourself, you cannot love someone else. If you can’t care for yourself, you cannot care for someone else. If you cannot support yourself, you cannot support someone else. To thine own self be true and all else will fall into place. <3
