Fear is an illusion

Eckhart Tolle and James Allen are my top two favorite "awareness" people. James Allen wrote his book in 1903. His teachings were not the norm then and for the most part they are not accepted now by "unaware" people. 

Both Eckhart and James teach that our own choices will determine which path we walk in life. Trying to put the blame on anyone else is futile and will only exacerbate your current situation. The only pass on your life's path is from birth to adulthood when you were learning from unaware people. After that you will have to own every decision you make while you learn to be aware.

An excerpt from As A Man Thinketh by James Allen:

"They who have no central purpose in their life fall an easy prey to petty worries, fears, troubles, and self-pityings, all of which are indications of weakness, which lead, just as surely as deliberately planned sins (though by a different route), to failure, unhappiness, and loss, for weakness cannot persist in a power evolving universe."

Weakness cannot persist in a power evolving universe. <3
