Enjoy the ride

An elder shared with me that change is like giving birth. There will be pain, there will be crying, there will be fear of the process, but when you make it through you are relieved and happy that its over. And you are able to move forward on a new and exciting path. Having given birth myself I can see why this analogy is used to describe change. 

The mindset that one has when they enter into a new chapter of their life will determine if they are successful or unsuccesful. If you go in trying to control the outcome, you will have nothing but grief. If you go in understanding that you are not in control of anything except your reaction to life, you will have peace.

Nothing stays the same. Change is inevitable. Accept the truth of this and life gets a whole lot easier. Resist change, and you only bring unnecessary mayhem into your life. Choose to let go, you will be happier for it. <3
