When I hear people talking about losing their “freedom”, I want to explain the truth but I know they won’t understand the teaching. They are not ready. 

Your prison is your mind. Freedom comes when you let go of the ego voice and replace it with your voice. Ego talks to control you. Your voice is the voice of reason. Ego roars. Your voice speaks in a whisper. 

No one has control of your freedom. If you want it, go ahead and have it. You can unlock yourself anytime you want to. You are the key. <3

Everything we feel, we feel because we want to. You may think that other beings cause you to have feelings, but this is false. You are the master of your mind. You get to tell it what it needs to do. 

if you don’t learn how to be the master of your mind, you will always be at the mercy of others beings. You will not heal your mind which can only do what you tell it to do.

When you recognize the power of your mind and all its capabilities, there is no going back. It is pure joy when you understand that you can have freedom from your thoughts. <3

He should make this purpose his supreme duty, and should devote himself to its attainment, not allowing his thoughts to wander away into ephemeral fancies, longings, and imaginings. Life is not as complicated as we like to make it out to be. It is possible to live a life without a whole pile of unnecessary drama. For this to happen you need to live in the now and not in your mind.

Your mind will manipulate you to stay in the past and fret about the future. Neither the past nor the future exists. You will only ever have this moment, this now.

So, you should ask the universe for what you want and trust that it will happen if you don't go messing where you shouldn't be messing. (wishbone) You should seek who you are in the now, because no other time really matters. And then stand up for who you know you are. (backbone) You should find laughter and use it  to make yourself and others happy throughout the day. (funny bone).

Do something for me.

Without saying it out loud, say the word happiness. Do that one more time. Who intentionally said the word happiness if you didn't? Figure THAT out and you have found yourself.

When someone is ready to understand how a thought is generated without verbalizing the thought, they are ready for life's truths. The depths and layers that make up a soul cannot be revealed to just anyone, these truths have to be earned. 

Choosing to seek fulfillment from material things will delay truths. Choosing to think someone else is here to save you will delay the truths. The journey to one's self has to be done freely and only if you've earned the right to do so. <3

Yesterday by the graciousness of the Universe I connected one right after the other with the most important people in my life. Everything that needed to align perfectly happened, so that the tight circle of people that I love became my focus for a day. 

One lives in the same community as me.
One lives 1200 km from me.
One lives a 1/2 hour from me.
Four live 2 hours from me. 

I am, and will remain, in awe of the awesomeness that is the Universe. I am, and will remain, humbled by the blessings that are offered by the Universe. I am, and will remain, a being that understands the power that each of us holds to live the life we are meant to live. 

Figure out who matters the most to you and make sure they know that you love them. <3

An elder told me once that when you are sharing the seven teachings with someone and are struggling to remember one it means you need to do work on that specific one. That really hit home with me.

What I find the most intriguing is that no matter how well I've memorized the teachings they come in no particular order when I think of them. This ensures that I use genuine thinking when interacting with the teachings.

As a non-Indigenous person, I have deep respect for the Indigenous culture. There has been no place on earth that I've felt more accepted than I do with them. That for me is their greatest teaching. <3

There is no past and there is no future, there is only ever now. When you can find the truth in those words, life gets a whole lot easier. 

Your past and future exist only in your mind. You cannot find them anywhere outside yourself. The only thing that exists is the moment you are in now...now...now...now...to infinity.

Knowing this, you have control of how you feel in the now. You get to decide to be any emotion you desire. You get to determine your every moment, because the every moment is all you will ever have. Accept that your past and future do not exist anywhere except in your mind. Stay in the now because it is all you will ever truly know. <3
