If its yours, own it.
If its someone else's, let it go.

I have plenty of my own woes to manage that I don't need to add anyone else's "stuff" to it. Thinking that things are all about you can only end in misery. Focus on you so that others can focus on themselves as well. This is not selfish behaviour. It's self preservation. To thine own self be true. <3

To err is human, to forgive is divine.

The forgiveness that we need to give isn't just for others it is for ourselves too. 

Ultimately we are responsible for every decision that we make as an adult. As you would praise yourself for a good decision, you must forgive yourself for the bad ones. 

And then move on! Learn. Live. Be. <3

You probably know someone who you wondered how they made it through something horrifically tragic. Maybe it was something that you thought you would not be able to get through yourself.

The soul is an amazing phenomenon. It is that part of you that has to survive no matter what. Even when your ego is telling you to give up, your soul is urging you on. 

We naturally avoid pain, but we are never without the possibility of receiving it at any given moment. When it does find us, we need to gracefully embrace our soul and know that "this" too shall pass. Be heartbreakingly unbreakable. <3

If you were raised as a Gen Xer you will have experienced unbridled freedom along with unnecessary discipline. Anyone was allowed to discipline kids and if your parents heard about your transgression, you typically got a second round when you got home.

Being sent outside to play for hours brought the freedom to have many adventures without an adult around. This is why there was an unspoken rule that when any adult witnessed wrongdoing they had the ability to correct you.

The flip side to this form of childrearing was the freedom to do whatever you wanted with the hope of not getting caught. 

For this reason most Gen Xers live life in the freedom zone. Uninterested in chaos and more interested in living life without a lot of input from others. They want to live "storm free". <3 

Our ego wants us to be liked. 
Our soul has no care about impressing others.

Ego envies.
Soul has gratitude.
Ego desires.
Soul has peace.
Ego hates.
Soul loves.

Don't be like the ego who has to be liked. Be more like the soul who has the courage to be disliked for being real. <3

In a world of "scrolling" through social media for anything to stimulate us, we don't take the time to look twice. If it didn't catch our attention in a second or two it isn't worthy to view.

Most times what you are seeking cannot be found on an App. Most times what you are seeking is looking back at you in a mirror. Have you ever given yourself as much attention as you do to technology? 

Have you looked twice at the person you see in the mirror? Have you given yourself a moment to look into the eyes that are gazing back at you? You ARE an App! You have way more interesting things going on then you think you do. Give yourself a chance. Give yourself a second glance. <3

Its not been great in this world of ours since we gave each other permission to be disrespectful. We've evolved into a species that has forgotten that we need each other to survive. No one gets to go it alone.

In order for our kinship to thrive we must be kind. Not just to one another, but to our self too. We've become so busy with what's going on "over there" that we've lost sight of the importance of remaining "over here". 

If you are a perfect being with zero faults then you are an exception to the rule. If you are an imperfect being like me then you should give more time to understanding how you can accept that about yourself. Best way I know is to be kind to other beings who are just like you. <3

It is true that on this earth we cannot "go it alone". We do need other beings for our own survival. But where does this dependency on others stop and your independence start?

We inevitably have to use services that are out there to meet our needs. But when you pull right back to your own being, what do you need another being for? Love? Happiness? Security? Perhaps.

The question to ask yourself is, are my needs being met by another being? If your needs are not being met by another being, its okay to cut them loose. (Family or not.) Why? Because you are the maker of your world. What you see has  orchestrated by you. Good and bad.

If its good, figure out how to get more of that. If its bad, figure out why you feel you need to have the bad. 

Hint: Let go of your limiting beliefs taught you by others who had the same limiting beliefs. <3

When I hear people say "I just want to be happy", I want to ask them why they are making themselves unhappy. But I know that saying that will offend the person, because they haven't grasped that they are the owner of their happiness or lack thereof.

There is no one on this earth that has the responsibility to make you happy. There is no thing on this earth that is responsible to make you happy. 

You, and only you, have that kind of power. You get to decide. You have the ability to make or break your happiness. 

Figure out your limiting belief that is halting happiness from your life. Stop doing that belief. Allow happiness to be yours. <3

All things happen on purpose.
There are no coincidences.
This too shall pass.
It is what it is.

Acceptance means that you understand that you can only control what you can control.

Acceptance means that the only thing you can  actually control is how you react to any given moment.

Acceptance means that you understand that God, Creator, Universe, Higher Power, Source From All That Is, gives you that which you are.
