Fear is taught

Read Now

Franklin D. Roosevelt -"Nothing to Fear but Fear Itself"

Someone taught you how to fear. Like all of our emotions fear is in the mind. You can decide at anytime to not feel fear. There is nothing inside your head that can't be changed simply by you deciding to change it.

The reason this is simple is because, nothing exists unless you want it to exist...good and bad.

A happy marriage exists because you want it to exist. An unhappy marriage exists because you want it to exist. As an adult you are responsible for what you want to exist in your mind. You have the power to change everything simply by changing your mind.

Fear holds us down. It keeps us from doing what we really want to do in life. It forces us to go against what our soul knows we should be doing. Fear is a slow death of one's soul.

Free will is a very powerful energy. We all have access to free will and also the rewards and consequences that come with it. You have the free will to choose to feel fear or choose to not feel fear. You can choose to have fear exist or not exist in your life.

It truly is mind over matter. "Fear" cannot be found outside yourself. Things that others have taught you to fear cannot exist unless you want them to exist. So, you have the ability to choose not to feel fear the same way you choose to feel fear. <3

Letting go

Read Now

We fiercely hang onto things, people, and emotions even when they are not good for us because they give us the comfort of familiarity.

Getting outside one's comfort zone isn't an easy process because letting go can be difficult. The only thing that can make it feel okay is a deep trust in yourself that you are doing the right thing for you.

We've all been in situations where we felt a sense of loyalty to someone or something while grappling with the urge to let them/it go. The very fact that you are wanting to let go should tell you that you can only receive peace when you do. So why do we remain where we no longer want to be?

It's because us imperfect beings have the "disease to please" others before ourselves. We want acceptance by others when we haven't accepted ourselves first. This is the gap in our soul that we strive to fill.

When you have come to terms with the fact that YOU are what matters over anything else, letting go becomes much much easier. <3

Be proud and humble

There is a fine line between being humble and being proud. Being proud of oneself is not wrong. Purposely making others feel bad about themselves because you have levelled up is wrong.

When you show pride in yourself and have pure intentions, you have humbleness. When you show pride and it is in your heart to make others feel bad about themselves, you have arrogance.

One of our many flaws as imperfect beings is that we feel the need to be in competition with one another. This is taught behaviour brought forward by generations of imperfect beings.

The soul that each of us carries knows that we are here for one another, not to be against one another. Our natural state of being is to love. All this fury you see in the world today, on and by mother earth, is to be owned by many generations. Negativity goes against what our soul inherently knows to be true. Love brings positive energy; hate brings negative energy.

I am proud of myself for just being, but not proud enough to know that I am an imperfect being with a lot more to learn. This in itself is what keeps me humble. <3

You are your destiny

I've had the not so pleasurable journey of unravelling the power of my thoughts. The unpleasantness part was letting go of limiting beliefs that were holding me back. Then came the ego vs reality phase. Then came surrendering to the unknown while knowing that all would be well. Not the cliche "this too shall pass", but genuinely understanding that all would be well.

The definitiveness of knowing the truth that all would be well, comes from a deep understanding that nothing exists unless I want it to exist. I manufacture my life. My thoughts manufacture my life. Think good, get good. Think bad, get bad. It truly is as simple as that.

The hard part is removing any limiting beliefs that try to convince you that you shouldn't get what you desire. And the really neat thing is, you control those limiting beliefs, so you can change them anytime you want!

When I was prompted by God that it was time to publish our book I was hesitant. My limiting beliefs had me believing that no one was going to want to read the book. When I was able to pinpoint that the feelings of unworthiness I was having was my six year old self, I relented and moved forward. Nine months later Jack Canfield, half billion books sold author, is reading  my book!

There is no going back to the "norm" once you've unravelled the power of the mind. Nothing, except death, can stop your ability to manufacture your life through your thoughts.

I cannot wait for you to read my second book. <3

Lived experience

Old Soul: a person, especially a child or young person, who demonstrates a maturity, understanding, or seriousness that is typical of someone much older.

Old Soul: are people who have had many different lives.

Two very stark differences for what it means to be an old soul. In both cases the common thread seems to be that "lived experience" has put the weight of the world on someone's shoulders for others to see.

I am an old soul because of unwanted experiences gained while I was growing up. I am an old soul because I've had deja vu often enough to know that I've "been here before" even if I'm not entirely certain what that means.

What I know for sure is that I am not interested in what my ego desires, but I'm all in on what my soul wants. Having an old soul and living in a materialistic world is a cringe worthy experience, because all souls know the truth. We aren't here to die from the disease to please, we are here to live with love from above.

The only way to bring ourselves and our planet back from the brink of no return is to change our minds. We are at this turning point in our existence. Either we use our energy (our vibe) for good and reap the benefit of that, or we use our energy (our vibe) for bad and reap the outcome of that.

The choice is ours. Always has been. Do good, get good. Do bad, get bad. Look around if you doubt what I mean. <3

Holding on and letting go

Read Now

Desperately trying to hold on to anything means that it is finished. Whatever it is, has served its purpose and it is time to let it go. This applies to feelings, a person, and material objects. We fear letting go of familiarity and having to embrace the temporary discomfort of growing into the unknown.

All things exist in your life because you want them to exist, good and bad. Your thoughts are your reality. Think good, get good. Think bad, get bad. This is why you think you see good things happening to "bad" people and bad things happening to "good" people. You are assuming rather than knowing.

Buried under all that stuff you think you know, is the truth of what you do not know, and its a lot. We think what we think, because it was taught to us. Sometimes we can change our own mind when we accept an aha moment, but mostly we stay with what someone else has taught us to think. We do this because we have not discovered the power of the mind; or it has been discovered and the fear of letting go, that you think you feel, keeps you desperately holding on.

If you are fulfilled and have zero longing for someone or something else, remain where you are. You are bringing love and joy into the world by being true to yourself. If you are unfulfilled and have a feeling like this isn't it for me, move on to what you truly want, because staying as you are is bringing misery into the world.

All the people and stuff you have in your life are there because you want them to be there. You are responsible for the energy you are putting out into the world which affects everyone else. You should live your life everyday with good vibes, as if everyone depends on you to do so, because we do. <3

Brain, Heart, Soul

Read Now

You have a brain. You have a heart. You have a soul.

Your brain stores data, your heart stores emotion, and your soul is the real you.

It can be hard to grasp that we have a soul because it can't be found on any anatomy charts designed by imperfect humans. (Which we all are). We can see a brain and a heart, but the soul has yet to be pinpointed.

The reason for this is that we are not taught that we have a soul, because then we'd have to change the way we think about ourselves and one another.

To quote Eckhart Tolle - "Be the silent watcher of your thoughts and behaviour. You are beneath the thinker. You are the stillness beneath the mental noise. You are the love and joy beneath the pain".

Do this for me? Focus for one moment on any thought that you have rattling around in your brain? You are now watching a thought that was there before you focused on it. You are not your thoughts, you are the watcher of your thoughts.

Do this for me? Focus for one moment on the beating of your heart. Listen to it beat and say these words to its beat "I am". You are now feeling an emotion that was there before you focused on it. You are not your emotions, you are the watcher of your emotions.

It is a life changing aha moment when you realize that your heart, mind, and soul working in unison is a very powerful energy source where anything is possible. <3

True love IS the answer

Read Now

True love wins every time. By this I mean genuine heartfelt love, not the kind of love that is driven by desperation.

The desperation kind of love is where the majority of people live their lives. There is no winning with this love. It is a forced love that weighs the heart down with its inauthenticity.

True love is heartfelt love and makes one feel like they are weightless; like everything is going to be okay no matter what, kind of love. This love takes very little effort to feel.

Now ask yourself, which of these loves do I feel for myself?

Nothing exists in your life unless you want it to exist. If you feel fear, you will have fear. If you feel hate, you will have hate. If you feel confidence you will have confidence. If you feel true love for yourself, you will have true love for yourself.

Everything begins and ends with you. How your life transpires is dependent on your feelings about true love, which in actuality can only be found in yourself. <3

Never apologize for being real

I've had the unique experience of being in the public eye advocating for the underserved in our society. This role wasn't something I sought out. It found me because of my son's struggles with a substance use disorder.

What isn't understood by many is that I had to be fierce, strong, and courageous, while trying to remain tender, soft, and fragile as my son slowly died in front of my eyes.

Any parent will tell you that watching their child struggle and knowing you cannot help is the worst kind of pain. It's a pain that sits on your heart and weighs it down. It's a pain that makes you want to stay in bed, but you can't because you know they need you. It's a pain that makes you barter with God and plead for him to take your life instead.

While advocating you gain supporters and you gain the opposite of supporters. Regardless of which group anyone was in, they always got to see the real, honest, and transparent me. One doesn't have time for mind games while trying to help the underserved.

I have zero regrets for my 11 years of standing by my son's side and being the voice for him and others who are underserved by society. This freedom allows me to continue to be unapologetically real as I fulfill my life's purpose. <3

Flourish or languish

I've been told that I have an obsessive compulsive disorder because I want material objects to be set just right. People with all kinds of psychology degrees will tell you that its because I need to keep control of things in an out of control world.

This is not the case. I do this as a means to be a disciplined person. Putting the scissors back in the drawer they came from is self- discipline. It also guarantees that the scissors will be there the next time I need them.

That is only a small example of how I maintain my external life. If I can do these habits that others are able to see, then there should be no doubt that I will be doing them internally where no one can see.

To own your power means you must have self-discipline. Without it you are a ticking time bomb waiting to go off at the first sign of chaos.

Us imperfect humans have this power called free will. It gives us permission to do the right or wrong thing in every situation. Do good and get good, do bad and get bad, are the outcomes of free will. Only you get to choose which power you want to own to be able to flourish or languish. <3
