Does God exist?

Earth is a planet. The moon is not a planet. The sun is a star. These three objects go about their business everyday, harmoniously doing their part to keep things predictable for us. Most of our knowledge of them comes from school classrooms and we leave it at that as we leave school behind and move on with life.

Why is there no subject in school that teaches the infinite power of the universe? Why are we taught to believe in either science or in a higher power? Why can't we agree that two are one?

In my book "The Sun Neither Rises nor Sets" chapter four is about God (Higher Power, Creator, Universe). When reading any portion of my book, the reader needs to keep in mind that I have no doubt that God (Higher Power, Creator, Universe) was guiding my every word as it was being written. I have remained true to the original rhymes written in 2004 when I was 36 years of age, with the exception of some grammar edits.

It can be hard for us imperfect humans to focus on the fact that we are on a planet in space. This can actually be quite scary for some, because it conjures up questions of why. Why are we on a planet in space? That has always been a bigger question for me than, does God (Higher Power, Creator, Universe) exist? I know God exists.

So, who created God? Therein lies the fear of the unknown. Our human mind could not handle the truth about God, Higher, Power, Creator, Universe. Knowing the truth would keep us paralyzed with fear. What I know for sure is that we each have a soul that has infinite power beyond anyone's comprehension. Using that power for the betterment of each other was and always has been God's intent. We are here until we get that right. God does exist, because you are God. <3

Kintsugi

Japanese art of repairing with gold is called Kintsugi , or Kintsukuroi , literally golden (“kin”) and repair (“tsugi”). Kintsugi is the process of repairing ceramics traditionally with lacquer and gold, leaving a gold seam where the cracks were. Kintsugi fosters the idea that a broken object can be repaired and be made useful once again. It tells us we can always begin anew despite the past failures. Accepting imperfections helps us to break free from the obsession of perfectionism which causes unnecessary stress and inhibiting creativity and productivity.

Of my fifty-five years on this planet, I've spent well over half of them performing Kintsugi on my body, mind, heart, and soul. By choice, I went through my thirties, forties, and now fifties without an intimate partner in order to freely work on myself. I had a lot of brokenness to repair.

Now that I have filled my broken pieces with golden love for myself, its time for me to help others to do the same for themselves. As I embark on this next path of my life's journey, I am filled with the wonderment of God's precision, His patience, His wisdom, and His power.

God has never abandoned me. Other imperfect humans just like me have abandoned me.
God has never let me down. Other imperfect humans just like me have let me down.
God has never hurt me. Other imperfect humans just like me have hurt me.
God has always been there to help me with my Kintsugi because no other imperfect human could.

We should all strive to live with pure intentions so we don't give our self or someone else a reason to do Kintsugi on their body, mind, heart, and soul. <3

Repetition and Redundancy

Picture
Repetitive: containing or characterized by repetition, especially when unnecessary or tiresome.
Redundant: able to be omitted without loss of meaning or function.
Brain Retrain: approximately 40 to 90 days for five to ten minutes per day.
Discipline: the power of self to be repetitive and redundant daily to find and keep one's soul.

Back in the day people attended a standard twenty-one day rehabilitation program when they were struggling with an addiction. Sometimes people needed more time than that, so they attended a longer treatment program. The chances of anyone overcoming their struggle on the first attempt were rare and repeating the programs was inevitable regardless their repetitiveness and redundancy. The attempts to retrain the brain to not want a substance takes self-discipline of an imperfect human to remain repetitive and redundant.

I use this analogy for easy understanding of the work it takes to find and keep one's soul. This is not done with one attempt or even a thousand attempts. This is done with daily repetition, and what can seem like redundancy, to gain discipline to retrain the brain.

Each day, each moment of life, you have the ability to find and keep your soul, the same way you have the ability to lose your soul once found. To keep one's soul close takes a never ending daily process of retraining the brain to maintain discipline so it does not return to the old habits that got its human in such a bad way.

Because we are imperfect beings, we need repetitiveness and redundancy to make sure we are listening to our soul over our ego. The ego likes noise and chaos. The soul likes quiet and peace. Of the two, our ego has been trained over our entire lifetime to want and distract with the intention to shush the wisdom of the soul. When one grows weary of the noise and chaos they inevitably hear a whisper while they are at rest. This is their soul beckoning. To find and keep that soul takes the opposite repetitiveness and redundancy taught by the ego. One must be willing to retrain years and years of misinformation from the brain.

"The Sun Neither Rises or Sets" was written when I was 36 years of age and shares my soul's wisdom gained to that time. My second book "The Earth Either Rises or Sets" is written at my now age of 55 years with more profound wisdom to be shared. Both books were achieved by listening to my soul and not to my ego. That takes repetitiveness, redundancy, and discipline. <3

The HOW is not your business

The HOW is not your business...trusting is.

Yesterday I received some good news about my book. After digesting the news, my ego quickly  tried to generate doubt about how to move forward with the news. Understanding ego and its mission in life, I immediately called on my soul, God, to be the levelheaded one.

My soul, God, said: "The HOW is not your business...trusting IS." A reminder to me that I am in control of only one thing and that is to hush my mind (ego) so I can better hear God's words.

If this is not understood by an imperfect being, the ego will immediately sabotage your best laid plans with doubts that can turn into a noisy roar drowning out God's whisper. That is intentional. It takes work to have God's power in one's corner.

I am one step closer to finally having a copy of my printed book in my hands. I can say definitively that the book will be released by May 31, 2023. <3

Front Row Seat

I've had a front row seat to the awesomeness of God my whole life. This became apparent when He and I had our first conversation when I was six years old. He told me to have faith in Him and I'd learn what it was all for. (I say God, you can say whatever name you feel your higher power is).

Anyone who decides to read my book when it is printed, will come to understand what I mean about my conversations with God. Were we sitting at a table together having coffee? No. Did he appear to me and speak? No. God is a feeling. We can all feel God, so therefore, we can all converse with God.

God is a feeling of warmth, love, and peace that nothing else will ever make you feel. While you are feeling God, your inner whisper, which is your soul, speaks to you. That is God.

When you give yourself permission to trust in the whisper you hear, you get a front row seat to the awesomeness that is God. The thing is this though, God speaks in whispers, while your ego roars. In order to hear God you have to manage the noise that your ego is constantly making. This is the hardest part to finding your seat in the front row.

The ego is insatiable. It wants and wants and wants. It distracts and distracts and distracts. Meanwhile, your soul, God, is quietly waiting for you to realize the power you have at your fingertips hidden underneath all that noise.

I wrote a book at the age of 36 that is almost 300 pages and has 37 chapters that rhyme. I co-authored the book with God whispering His wisdom to me. There can be no other explanation for being able to write like this without a higher power having guided my words.

An excerpt from my soon to be published book, The Sun Neither Rises nor Sets:

By the age of six I was afraid to do any wrong. I was a good child, but I didn’t know how I belonged.
The foster home I was in was full of abuse, and to them I could do no right and was of no good use.
I felt like a slave with no hope for freedom, and I was worked every day with only more abuses to come.
It was never good enough, even my best, and at six years old, perfection came to be my conquest.
In this home is where God’s presence came to me; it was at a church tucked away in some trees.
I was all by myself outside when it occurred, and there was no visual, only a voice that I heard.
A warmth came over me that I knew not to fear, and intuitively I knew it was God that had appeared.
The feeling was a warmth that held my body, and six years of pain lifted, and I no longer felt naughty.
A voice soothed away all my doubt, and I was told to have faith and I would learn what it was about.
In that moment God gave me a strength that I cherish, and I knew that without Him I would perish.

Yes, the entire book reads like this. <3

Airless

Basketball has been around for 132 years. It's a sport that continues to have an impact in my home. My son loves the game. After all these years, a change has occurred that some will find cool and others will not want their game ball messed with. It's an airless basketball.

When I first saw the airless basketball I was struck by how futuristic it looked compared to the comfort of the ball that we are used to. My next thought was, I wonder how all those holes will impact the way someone does a basketball shot. There has got to be the magic of physics involved with the air flowing through the holes.

As I mulled over the positive and negative impacts of introducing a ball like this into the structured basketball leagues, it got me to thinking about change. The only thing that is constant is change. Change is inevitable.

“For what it’s worth, it’s never too late or, in any case, too early to be whoever you want to be. There’s no time limit. Start whenever you want. You can change or stay the same. There are no rules to this thing. We can make the best or the worst of it. I hope you make the best of it. And I hope you see things that startle you. I hope you feel things you never felt before. I hope you meet people with a different point of view. I hope you live a life you’re proud of. If you find that you’re not, I hope you have the courage to start all over again.”  F. Scott Fitzgerald

Keeping your house in order

My son and I were having a conversation about "keeping your house in order" as a reference to your body, mind, and soul.

By clinical terms, I have an obsessive compulsive disorder that makes me want to have material items in their "right" spot at all times. The experts say that people do this because they want to control something in an out of control world. In spiritual terms what I am actually doing is keeping my house in order...my body, my mind, and my soul is the house I want to keep in order. I am reflecting on the outside how I am feeling on the inside.

When you clear your physical home of all the stuff that is no longer useful, you make room for useful stuff. Same thing with yourself. When you clear out stuff that is no longer of use to you, you will make space for the right stuff to be there.

How you keep your "house" in order contributes to the good and bad that we see in our world today. If you aren't able to unclog your connection with your higher power, you will hoard negative energy. If you are able to keep your connection with your higher power unclogged, you will have unlimited positive energy. We need all the positive energy we can get on this earth today!

We don't need stuff. We need each other. We need each other to do our part to bring abundance here that we all deserve. This is possible by helping each other to find our soul tamped down in all that useless stuff. Freeing our souls...that is our purpose here. It's why we are here. <3

Mom's Day

This is my Mom and me in 1968. I only knew her for one and a half years of my life. She died in a plane crash in 1974 which I didn't know about until I was 13 years old. I grew up without a Mom, although my father did try and give me three other of his wives as a replacement.

So, how does one go about raising a son without the influence of a motherly figure? She treats him as she would have wanted to be treated while growing up. Was she perfect at it, no, but then who can be? The challenge is to come out the other side with your child wanting to spend time with you when they are an adult.

My son and I celebrated Mother's Day with him coming for a visit this weekend. We did this and that...we talked...we walked...and we shared our gratitude for having one another. This is how I know I've successfully been a good Mom for him.

As he continues to mature and make his way through life, I feel grateful to be able to watch him progress and achieve all that he desires. What else can a Mom ask for? <3

Everything is created twice

Everything has to be a thought before it can be a thing. Everything has to be a thought before it can be a thing. (Nothing can happen without "it" being a thought first).

The whole process for mind management has been a fascinating experience for me. Can it really be as simple as, thinking about what you want and it will come to you? Possibly. It depends on why you want what you want. Is your want meant to help or harm our human species?

Positive thinking brings positive things. Negative thinking brings negative things. That is the law of the Universe / God / Creator / Higher Power. The reason for this is because we are all energy that has come from a source of energy (call it what you will). How you use your energy will determine your abundance. Not just "wealth", but health as well.

The challenge for all of us is that karma must play its role in our thinking and doing. No matter how good of a person you think you are, if you have negative energy, you will have to deal with negative karma. No matter how bad of a person you are, if you have positive energy, you will have to deal with positive karma. Karma doesn't discriminate between our labels of good or bad people, it deals solely with the energy that people generate.

If your thought is to do a good deed and you follow through, you have generated a thought and a thing. If your thought is to do a bad deed and you follow through, you have generated a thought and a thing. In both of these instances, you have decided if you would use your thoughts to help or harm our human species. Karma will reward you accordingly.

So it comes around to: everything is created twice. Ask yourself, how can I use my energy to make a thought a thing? Remember, if you really want something, the Universe / God / Creator / Higher Power will conspire to make it happen. And you are left to deal with the reward or consequences of what you really thought you wanted...good and bad. Think carefully. <3

Well worn path

Picture
This photo speaks very simply to the well worn paths that we harbour in our mind. We get dependent on the paths to keep our thoughts in order. But from time to time a path isn't working for us anymore, so we have to try a different path and it may get messy along the way.

The journey I've been on to change my thought patterns...my well worn paths, has been both painful and joyous. The pain is the agony of letting go of what is no longer working for me and the joy is opening up that space for what was supposed to be there all along.

Our thoughts have a frequency. Good thoughts will bring good, bad thoughts will bring bad. This concept isn't easily understood unless one assesses their life to date.

As A Man Thinketh by James Allen (Published 1903)
Mind is the master power that molds and makes, and man is mind, and evermore he takes the tool of thought, and shaping what he wills, brings forth a thousand joys, a thousand ills: - He thinks in secret and it comes to pass: environment is but his looking glass.

As you think, so shall you become. Think you are unworthy, you will receive unworthy. Think you are greatness, you will receive greatness. This is the truth.

The challenge for all of us imperfect humans is to be sincere when asking for greatness. Don't ask with half a heart. Ask with your whole heart. Believe it to be true and it will inevitably come to you.

How many well worn paths do you have in your mind that do not belong there? Time to assess....dismiss what isn't true....introduce what is true...have patience to wait for the results to show up.

Forge a new path today! What have you got to lose? Nothing. What have you got to gain? Everything you've ever wanted! <3
